Rock the Kasbah

This was a logo done for the Virgin Unite charity event, Rock the Kasbah. We did the original logo in 2011 and then upgraded it for the 2012 event. Art Directed by 28 Page Agency.

This was the original design, created in 2011. The brief was to make a logo that was rooted in Arabic typography but which also clearly said "Music" and "Rock." After many different ideas, this one was put together as a "rough" design idea. It was so well received, they ended up using it as designed.
In 2012, as the event was approaching again, the client asked that the design be revisited and upgraded. Having the time to do now what we had always intended, we cleaned the whole thing up and gave it a more polished and refined look while keeping to the same original design concept.
